The A V Garden Design team transform a redundant field at an Arts & Crafts Manor into a working kitchen garden. Whilst the Manor boasts all the facilities expected of an estate its size and calibre, the missing part of the jigsaw puzzle was a corner to the side of the property.
The Garden Design Team set out to build a kitchen garden like no other, the key ingredients include a 32-meter reclaimed brick wall, a bespoke Hartley Botanic Greenhouse, a bespoke sculpture, water features, 300 species of plants, hand crafted hard-landscaping materials, stonework, the use of three different planting styles, green oak timber joinery, integrated lighting, a potting shed and a rainwater harvesting irrigation system. Combining all these elements, in one Garden Design was a challenge we accepted and executed to perfection. Whilst the works are to be completed in Spring 2022, the garden looks fantastic for its first year.
